NC53 wrote:Paul, can I ask what you did with the abs sensor - presumably you just unplug it from where it goes into the stub axle but won't that leave a hole?

cheers

PS - hoping to do this conversion on my 07 Connect this weekend which does not have abs. I've got the whole axle assembly from a 2011 model.

The sensors are bolted in, what i done with mine was take them out, chop of the sensor wire as close as poss to the sensor then bolt the sensors back in

Thanks. Wasn't sure if people were removing them completely or just cutting off the wire.

Just my personal preference, that has for to be one of the smartest looking vans Ive seen, the Mk2 or facelift or what every you call it, front bumper for me is the best, 1st model (like I have) and last model, I dont like the front ends
With the Alloys, color coded parts & headlamps its looks bang-on, not to overdone

Took the van down to vantuner to have a postal remap tweaked, and will be adding a boost controller and gauge for more power
Martin is an excellent guy, and really knows his stuff, well pleased with the service, definitely recommend his services to anyone wanting more power!

Let us know how you get on with the boost controller, what type, what pressure etc as I'm still toying with the idea of it on mine since I've had the remap over a year I'm getting itchy fingers for more power.

I tried one of the ball a spring type ones and the van didn't react too well. It spat its dummy out even when it was on the lowest setting.

finally got round to removing the wheel arch trim (NSF) and the NSF inner wheel arch liner...
although I ended up rounding a couple of the screws, and had to drill one of them out... got lucky with the other one...

so I think a trip to Ford beckons for tomorrow so I can fit the new arch liner and arch trim... and then I can fit the new deflector.

just need to figure out what clips and which screws I need from Ford... so that's the mornings activities set.
