Yes these are Heated see below for parts no's

They aren't bad but still not got round to wedging them up to spray more central.

If Paul's ones specifically for the connect work better then I think I'll swap for those.

Yes these are specifically for Connects :D

More work done,

Power steering pump with all associated pipes installed.

Just have to make up a mounting bracket if Ford doesn't have one for reservoir, as early connects don't have it.

Image

This is where ABS/ESP pump will be fitted (below engine bay fuse/relay panel), That is once I get the Last brake pipe from pump to rear wheel. I've got in the rest fitted.

Image

New fuel pipes fitted along with turbo, intercooler & all associated hoses & radiator head tank - Require new Diesel filter (with water sensor)

Image

Work in engine bay nearly complete :D

Refitted O/S driveshaft, & replaced O/S Hub for one with ABS

Just require mounting brackets for Sensor wiring. + new set of discs & pads for the front.

Image

Also looked behind O/S wing for mounting points for ECU plate on inner wing.
As you can see, there isn't any :x Another thing not fitted to early connects

Image

The basic shell/chassis my look the same for all models from the outside. But underneath there are minor differences between models from 2003-2006 & 2006-2009 then a few more changes to 2009 onwards :!:

While waiting for a couple of parts to complete engine bay, I decided to crack on with the next job

Stripped the interior out along with dash  One way to get the floor a clean, it's a mess.
At least it's bone dry inside :D

Image

Strange thing is the Body wiring loom that normally runs from the dash to rear, only goes as far as the seatbelts :?
Now I know what the wiring was I chopped through when removing old engine bay loom. It runs underneath down the middle, above the fuel tank & goes through a gommet in both rear wheel wells for the rear lights

It has been well used inthe back, could do with repainting. No point as I will eventually board it out.

Image

Old loom removed except for the section for interior lights & rear door lock which runs along the top on O/S & gave it a quick clean.

Thanks, getting there slowly.

Yes the floors are solid, I was expecting to find some previous signs of water damage. Fortunately there isn't any, even the insulation padding is still in great shape :D

Now I have a question

I know on 2003-2006 connects the wiring for rear lights & sender unit (in fuel tank) runs down the middle under the vehicle.

At what point/location does the wiring for sender unit goes through the floor on connects from 2006 onwards :?:

This is wiring below for sender unit.

Now you mention it, I noticed yesterday how noisy the can roof is in rain. Got some sound deadening pads off eBay, so another job on the list now!

There is some insulation glued to Forward roof liner, Most of the noise is from the rear roof - Wait until you get a big hail storm, it will sound like you're flying an old WWII bomber through flak

Image

I still have the original rear roof insulation in my connect with stops the condensation during winter  (Still available from Ford)

Finally got round to removed old trim tape off the sides where old trims where once fitted.
Perfect tool for the job, a Toffee wheel

Just needs a goods clean to get rest of road grime off & buff to finish.
