Just quick update.

Just uploaded a vid to youtube showing several functions on the 2010 Instrument cluster working

Just to get the Hazards to working on the later switch the GEM module & Instrument cluster is required, As GEM module will not work independently.

Basically the switch informs the GEM module that Hazard lights are requested, GEM send a signal via MS-CAN to instrutment cluster to instruct it to chime & Flash the teltale lights. Instrument cluster then sends a signal back to the GEM module via MS-CAN, to confirm instructions. Its the same communication process between GEM module & Instrument cluster for Air Recirculation switch, LH/RH indicators & doors.

Finally got my Airbag today.

Most Focus 2007 onwards airbags on ebay are 2 stage, & 2009 connects uses single stage airbags

I bagged this Transit mk7 airbag for £50 from ebay, which is perfect as it's a single stage Airbag





& it fits the Focus Mk3 leather steering wheel perfectly, simply clips straight into place no problem



I must correct the mileage on the new instrument cluster & add another 68,000 miles to it - Old original one had just over 110,000 miles on it.

2006 - 2013 Intercooler £30



Now fitted




Going to replace both top intercooler pipes for ones for a 2006 - 2013 connect.
just waiting for them to arrive - £25 from ebay

Saves having to modify the pipe from intercooler to inlet manifold to fit the IAT sensor. Also do away with the resonator on the pipe from turbo

2006 onwards top intercooler pipe have arrived, now I need the plug for the IAT sensor.



I may get them painted at a later date as these are metal pipes.

Fitted one of the top intercooler pipes today, need to get 2 new forward mounts & new intake hose from filter box to turbo.



At least I don't need this resonator that was originally fitted.



Will be doing some engine mods, so watch this space
