Yeh huge improvement. I was hoping it would be - I had an 8K kit in my car with projector lights and was impressed with that, but decided the 8K was a bit too "chavvy blue" so opted for the 6K.

Slightly better colour. Weirdly, vision is almost better on dipped than main beam though!! Slim ballasts are cool - bout the same size as a credit card and approx 5mm deep!

Yeh, and then if I adjust the beam down a bit, it distorts the beam pattern on dipped.

It's all far mroe scattered than it ever was in my cars projector lights (to be expected) but haven't been flashed yet so can't be tooo bad. Not sure if they'll pass MOT though - especially if the tester just turns them on quickly as they take a good 20 seconds or so to get up to temp and stop being ultra bluey purple lol.

It's a problem with most H4 HID conversions, on the bottom left a normal H4 HID bulb, on the right a new version that fills the gap.

If you have fogs you could wire them to come on with the main beam to fill the hole.

Nope my ex-BT pikey spec Connect doesn't have fogs! Again, if that's something easyish to do, I may consider doing that though...

Would get proper Ford things with the right bumper etc though rather than some aftermarket jobbys.

there the ones ive got hids4u supreme vision! (i think) i dont seem to have the black hole effect! of course i dont think they will ever be as good as a proper projector lens if you do spots refined i would do the newer bumper and lights if poss im starting not to like mine as there a bit big and remind me of a gobey fish newer ones are much smoother also keep an eye on your ballasts if there mounted on the side of the headlights as you have the funky slim ones ive just done my screenwash top up and noticed a lot of salt/grime is getting in there! bloody winter

Cheers for the heads up on the ballasts belly - they're covered in salt, but they should be alright - I waxed them before I put them down there! And they're sealed units with the wires hardwired into them rather than plugs.

Re. the later fogs, yes I would love to, but that'd be more of a case of butchering the existing bumper to fit them as I can't change my bumper to the newer one can I

big geoff h did on that focus rs connect somewhere on here! but ive also heard people say you need arches/ bumper/bonnet/slampanel/intercooler? so yeh quite a bit of work and prob not worth it people are putting mk7 fronts on mk6 transits though i thought about putting my ballasts in balloons used to do that on the odd rally car here and there

Yeh he did and it looks good for it, but at the same time, I cba with the hassle lol. I may look into bodging new fogs into the old bumper - I'll be fussy about whether the new and old plastic colours match etc then too though!

Yeh the acres of plastics on the van are a PITA, but trying out Black Wow on them atm - seems to be working quite well in this crappy weather.

Washing van pretty much every other day atm to keep it remotely clean
