Thanks g-man starting to really like now. Few more bit for the outside and just need to sort out the electrics for the heated/cooled seats.

Managed to get the carpet from a Focus MK1 fitted today, got soaked while doing it as the heavens opened, the seats got soaked too but i did it and am happy with it..
Also got the focus MK1 RS centre console fitted, just the dash to sort in black now.. :D

Front and rear bumpers are being upgraded to the MK2 ones and colour coded in white, the arches being done white, skid plates fitted and a S1 RS turbo side stripe.. so it's getting there.

Just replaced the left leaky turbo hose with some generic MESO one.
Tried to get to the EGR flange for inserting the blank but not a chance of getting either of the nuts off.

Took the blower motor out because it has been very slow to get going lately, a bit noisy too.
The stuff that came out of it looked like perfectly good planting soil so I tapped on the fan and housing with a rubber hammer and got most of it out before spraying some penetration oil on the bushings.
Would have wanted to take the motor shaft out to clean and lube it better but it seems like it's all pressed together? No circlips or nuts anywhere.

Fan is silent and runs smoothly at the moment so I'm happy with that.

Took it to service:

Oil changed
EGR blank fitted
4th glow plug fitted
Oil check pipe resealed
Aux heater exhaust pipe extended by one meter to get the smoke away from under the cabin.

Spent some time in under the bonnet today investigating the non-operation of reversing lights. Thought it would be a 10 second job to pull the connector off the switch and short the pins out to test if the switch was faulty.

After faffing around dismantling the airbox etc finally found the switch, and proved the wiring etc is ok. So will order a switch now, looks like about £10 or so delivered on e bay.

With my luck it will be something in the gearbox that has worn away and the switch will be fine. Just couldn't find a socket that would fit to test further. Need quite a long reach one to go over the connector as well, looks bigger than a 19.

If anyone knows what size it is please ? then i can go on the scrounge.

Just discovered a power steering fluid leak somewhere, doesn't seem like it's the pump, probably the rack or tubing.

Serious leak. Can't drive at all.

Not a chance, I'm naturally very lean.

Mostly I worry about the pump running dry.

Thanks, I'll check in the morning. Didn't find the leak anywhere around the pump or rack. There was something on the ground in the morning but couldn't pinpoint the location as it had spread in wet.

Is the cooler standalone or is it integrated in the main radiator and might mix with the coolant?
