Passed with a couple of very minor advisories. Very slight leak from sump gasket (which i knew about for ages - nothing new) and apparently a very small hole in the rear exhaust box...? Not something I noticed last time it was up on the ramp three weeks ago. Both points will be inspected again, and replaced / fixed as and when I have the ramp time  On to Vantuner next month :D 8)

The Toyo's are very good value, and a really good quality tyre. Only went for the Avon's this time because I got an even better deal. The face-lift rear lights are a nice easy upgrade too 8)

Just got back from seeing Martyn at Vantuner! What can I say... wow. Was a pleasure to meet the man himself, and the re-mapping session went very well. The results are staggering for not touching the engine physically!! What an amazing improvement :D Goes like stink. The general feel of the engines performance has improved no end, much much smoother power delivery driving normally, but when you put your foot down in second gear especially, it takes off! 1st gear is more of a launch rather than a pull away! The run down the motorway was very enjoyable. Big shout out to the guru that is Martyn, and if anyone else is contemplating getting this done - do it! Simple. In the end I was quoted around 115+ BHP up form the standard 90. 8)

I added some Noico mat to the rear quarter window-area panels of my 2013 TC. I am getting some resonance noise at highway speeds, and figured I'd start with the easier of two likely problem areas. Have not yet driven with the Noico.

The other problem area is the large shield below the fuel tank. It's slightly loose on its mount, and, a whole lot vibrate-y, just from its design. I can't really apply Noico under there, so, I'm thinking of painting on Plasti-Dip, after sandpaper scuffing and cleanup. Since it's not really a heat shield, I don't think the Plasti-Dip would present a problem, other than possibly coming off. Does anyone have experience with taming vibrations from this shield?

Loose a foot plus of height in the back of a connect, and you will have no roof height left. If you are literally after a bed on wheels, then it's gonna be perfect! Not sure i understand this vision.... :? :?:

What have you done today, or last week? Are you planning to race this van as well as sleep in it? I think it maybe going off subject. Can you make a new thread for this? Just an idea. All the best still....

I decided to order a good used Euro 4 intercooler after my visist to Vantuner went so well, and it all arrived today! The intercooler is a 2012 unit, and in very good condition, so is the top cover (2 parts). We pressure tested it, and all seems good. Had a trial fitting, and all fell into place nicely. My oil catch tank also arrived, so that will also be fitted (rocker breather) i am going to blank off the inlet to the main air intake pipe that used to come from the rocker cover, and just send it directly to the catch - which has a breather filter on top. Far less oil vapour going through the air inlet system!

What do you plan to do with the air sensor in the side of the euro 3 one ?

Simply going to drill a hole in the same vicinity and thread it so the sensor can be put in. Maybe add a small run of PTFE round the brass thread too. I forgot to add that bit in my description of works

I’ll keep an eye on you then as I balls up and brought one of the later ones as well so might as well fit it
Also just brought a new lower gear box mount bracket £20.99 as I snapped the bolt on the torsion mount when I did the rack and ain’t changed it yet
I have got a new bolt

No probs blue. Will post pics. I'm gonna order and fit a new sensor just for the sake of it, seeing as they are fairly inexpensive. Good luck with the mount.

Today, I hand-filed a key for my 2013 TC. It turned the ignition -- success #1. And, I got the immobilizer programmed, and it starts the vehicle -- success #2!

After that proof of concept with a $15 non-button key from Ebay, I intend to move on to a $50 OEM remote refurb key. The only locksmith I know of that will sell a new Gen1 TC 3-button key, cut and programmed, gets $400 each.

I was using a crappy small file set from Harbor Freight. I'd like to find one good, square tapered jeweler's file to work with.

Mine is the only Tibbe key I've ever looked at. I think my pattern may be among the more easy ones, thus, a bit of luck to go with my life-long hobby interest in locks and keys.
