Nope, they will be checking everything Vin, engine, brakes etc. Vehicle software/calibrations & updating details at their end & providing written confirmation to forward onto DVLA

I'm surprised Ford's are not ALL coming to your place "back garden motors"

so you can, as you know better than they do, teach them a few things

As I've reconfigured a 2007 wiring loom to run 2009-2013 equipment for example ABS/ESP, Autowipe/lights, approach lights, HIll start assist etc

You might be right there

Can you point me what module required?

GEM module is located on N/S at bottom of dash bolted to mash dash support (It has 5 plugs plugged into it)

Unfortunately these don't turn up very often second hand & are costly from Ford :(
I have a couple spare here, but not equipped for alarms - but do have autowipe/lights enabled

Part no of GEM module you require for alarm is 9T1T-15K600-EC OR 9T1T-15K600-ED

Hi Paul I found a GEM Module 9T1T-15K600DD To add alarm on my 2010 trend van ,what is the difference with the two Modules above ?Please.

Maybe you should read pages 15,17,18,20,21 & 22 of this thread again :?
There you will find pics of the 2007 wiring looms I am using including technical details for my modified 2007 dash loom.
Also watch this vid  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_ypx66BuEw It shows functions of ESP & hill start assist etc.

9T1T-15K600-DD like this one :arrow:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FORD-TRANSIT- ... 2c86072ff1 is not equipped for Alarm (on label it has CTM CL RKE) :(

You require one with a part number of either 9T1T-15K600-EC OR 9T1T-15K600-ED
They will have CTM CL DL RKE AS on the label

Awesome post and well done! wish I'd found this forum before I bought my connect  53 T220 LX but has a dead engine. I only found this post searching engine swaps for connects and have found your project really interesting and a great help :D

Any advice on putting a Mondeo 2.0 TDCi in a connect Paul???

Thanks :D

It may go in with a squeeze with wiring looms, the only problem is the gearbox.

If your connect is a 90ps TDCI, then this engine would be a bargain at £165...

:arrow:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ford-1-8-Tdci ... 4d1eaf6097

Will fit straight in. Just fit pump, injectors, manifolds & turbo from your old engine onto it & away you go

Thanks Paul
I did see that one but I'm in London so long old trot for me to get it, also my engine has a rather large hole in the front of of it ( auction site said it "has oil leak" hmmm so when removing it I turned the turbo fan and that locks up after a few spins so may need turbru too. Have found a local breakers with complete engine for £400 but needed to know where to look for code . Will post some pics as soon as I work out how!
