Interested in doing my radio surround how did you get it out?

How long did it take you to paint the dash?

I haven't taken the radio surround out yet as this is a new one i bought and had it sprayed so i can remove old one and fit new one in one go.
Dash took a while but I did it over a couple of days as the weather was hot and i was off work and let it bake in the sunshine.

Bit of an update.
Also fitted my 110 Intercooler and new intercooler pipes over to blue.


Also have a newly painted rocker to fit but am waiting on some Stainless pipes to be custom made for the pipes from the intercooler.

You have the TDDI engine ?

I am thinking about changing my intercooler to the later version (mine lays over at an angle), How did you get around the air temperature sensor on the intercooler ?? Are does the 110 intercooler already have the hole for the sensor ?

You drill a 25mm hole in your plastic intake pipe by the mounting point (onto the cam cover) and wind in the sensor. I bought my intercooler from Rumble Bee and he had already done it you just have to extend your plug wiring, works well. Ill do a photo tomorrow if ya like??

I havent drilled hole in my plastic pipes as i have just cable tied it to the pipe at the moment.
Like i said i am having stainless pipew hand made so it will have a brass thread built into it so then i will put the sensor in there.
As for the intercooler its a straight swap in for the earlier one.

Finally fitted my side skirts yesterday. Have to say they fitted amazingly well.
Always a little warey about moulding of parts but these are very good and fitted sweet.

Also new front grill bought from Ford. At paint shop to be painted black and new Ford badge on order. Won't go on though till new front bumper (non Ford bumper) is ready and sprayed. Wont have to change slam panel as my van is a 2006 model so later.


Also picked these up, Geunine Ford RS Turbo bonnet vents. Time for a play with the bonnet when bumper arrives and will de badge.

Did another little job today so that is another one to tick off the list.
Stripped the centre console around the radio today. Piece of cake to do.


Then swapped the bits over from boring black one on to my ultimate green surround.


Then i put it back in and fitted.
Trying to figure out if my push button start will fit in the hole where the spare cigarette lighter goes.


Looking better than the crappy black unit.

How much did the wheels cost if you dont mind me asking I might be geting a set of ST wheels when the other jobs are out of the way.

Front bumper still in fabricating/moulding into shape process.
Wheels cost me £160 for all 4 including tyres.
Although i did remove tyres and get the wheels rebuilt and refurbed complete with spray. Cost per wheel was £60 trade through a garage i do some work for. That isnt just doing the face, thats complete wheel.
I stayed away from the whole ST wheels as its a bit same as quite a few others have them.
