Next job is to fit ABS brakes, As this is what generates the vehicle speed signal for tne instrument cluster. (Ford decided to lose the VSS sensor on the gearbox from 2006 onwards)
I already have a spare rear disc brake ABS axle & grabbed this lot at a bargain price of £60![]()
very easy to fit![]()

Do you have to fit the extra parts for the ABS when you change the dashboard as I am looking into this in the new year cheers.

Only parts I used in that pick where front hubs & mater cylinder- rest of parts came from a 2010 connect.
I fitted ABS/ESP as it was tied into engine management & supplied vehicle speed for the 2010 instrument cluster.
You don't have to do the same.
When I fitted a 2010 dash to DHOCARL's Connect. I modified dash to fit his original instrument cluster
& modify wiring for air rec switch, hazard & heated screen/mirror switches

Hotwheels wrote:Hi Paul I still have the old set-up of drums on the rear but the van has now been lowered and has focus RS suspension on the front I don't want to go over the top but was just considering fitting the dash in the new year. Would it just be a straight swap without altering the wiring et'c or would you recommend getting an Auto Electrician to change things over.
