Drove mine to a VW dealer to test drive a transporter. Nice but dont know if I can get used to how narrow the cab is compared to a Transit.

finally got my elec windows & mirror kit from ebay :D :D

Removed from a 57 plate connect. I got them all fitted today but only to find out, Theres no 12v + feed to the windows or mirrors so they do not work :( :(
So I double checked everything including the 2 fuses in the central fuse panel (located behind glove box). All checks out ok.

BUT where the door wiring looms plug into the main loom theres no connections for the elec windows or mirrors on the main loom !!!!! So it is impossible to and them

Old door wiring looms have a 11 pin plug that connects to 11 pin socket on the main loom, New door looms have a 18 pin plug :?

I have contacted the seller (waiting for a reply) As it was listed as a complete package removed from 57 plate & a every needed for a conversion from manual windows to electric.
What I need is the main wiring loom located behind the dash as well to make them all work :(

Althought the central locking with deadlocking still works ok as does the door speakers

Here what I received below

door wiring looms

Electric window motors & mech

door cards with all switches

electric mirrors

So People if you are planning on fitting elec windows, you may find you will also need to change the main loom behind the dash as well !!

Yes I did do a search first, Other people were saying "Check fuse panel & if you see 2 terminals for the fuse, then its plug & play. If theres only 1 terminal for the fuse, then wiring is not there for elec windows"

Well I did check the fuse panel & yes both terminals are there for the elec windows fuse & also there for the Elec mirrors

I have now idea if there is actual wiring connected to the fuse terminal on the back of fuse panel is there or not, but I know for sure it not at the sockets for the door looms ! Not enought pins :(

Strut brace is easy to fit yes.comes as a kit as you will need to move down the fuse box and brake fluid bottle.

All the parts needed come in the kit.

Will add a thread on this tomorrow night once back from north weald.

Also have flashing headlight kits like what the police have.
Great for shows ,cruises etc will add a thread on this to

Yes I did check that tread, BUT my kit does not have the relay in the door ! (my 2001 transit mk6 did have the relay)

I can supply a 12v+ feed to the drivers door, but I also have to link the 2 door looms together as the passenger wing mirror is controlled from the drivers door :?

Paul (Valetech) fitted a colour coded front bumper last Friday. Personally I like the effect especially with the bonnet bra :D

Thanks, actually I nicked the style of one I'd seen on here and thought it was a bit different. I like it as the lines flow with or without the bonnet bra.
