Just need rear arches, and rear end caps.
When colour coding the fog surrounds, have you that have done it, melted them off and reattached, or masked and painted?
Also i need the little bumper bits.
As far as the rear bumper goes, is there a little grommet for the towing eye hole? Also do the rear parking sensors have washers/seats that go between them and the bumper itself?
Thanks in advance....

Yes you get a better job by removing the fog surrounds
Factory parking sensors are on spacers so them don't point down.
Yes a round cap for the towing eye.

If you need someone to do the colourcoding  only in bishops Stortford

How much did it cost for the parts and were can i get them from also any instructions for fitting as i have a 2002 connect van SWB model no side door cheers Mate.

I paid £333 for the primered version of the front bumper, front arches and rear bumper, the £35 for the rear end caps and top trim and the rear arches I'm yet to order are £22 each. Then the parking sensor collars and all three towing eye caps were £25 from fords. Not painted yet so fitting I've not a clue on..

HE HE

I reconise the Label on the front arch trim packaging ! (I had the same label on mine)

There are supplied by Imperial Crash Repair Parts. Price list can be found here :-

http://www.crashrepairparts.com/parts/m ... r?_ts=1448

BUT they do not supply the rear arch trims or the rubber spoiler for the bottom of the front bumper ! (2 parts)

I got my rubber spoiler for the front bumper from http://www.hamtunespares.co.uk/ £22 for both parts

I did not go for the primed bumper, I got the unprimed one (cheaper) & had it proffessionally painted & baked at my brothers workplace for £20 (he works at Bennets Accident & Rapair Centre - Insurance Approved). 8) 8)

Ps if you van colour is white - specifically DIAMOND WHITE , Please Note there are 2 different colour versions. If you get the wrong one, you will notice the slight difference in colour match !

I dropped the parts to the painters today. They mentioned the various shades so they will do what they need to to match it

Started as this:

During:

And after:

I know its a common mod but makes a big difference. Ill be colour coding the writing too.

Done some more mods to the bulkhead, i.e. making a window, cutting out port holes so they fire in the cab, and holes for the speakers ill get round to fitting!

Image

And temporarily back in. Tool box moved to side door for easy access, and both sub boxes mounted. The Ports fire into the cab and its not hugely loud, but enough! I am thinking of cutting holes above the boxes the same size as the box face, and making a curved funnel so the subs also fire in the cab. Not too sure if itll work or not so ill be asking on the audio forums.

Still adding more connect mk2 parts to my van !

Image

Most of you will find that the Early mk1 connects had the reverse gear locking ring located just below the gear knob (had to be lifted before selecting reverse)

Due to this the Mk2 gear knob would not fit, here how to do a very easy mod ! - Takes only 3 minutes to complete from start to finish

Gearshift assembly in clear view
Image

Disconnect the upper gear control cable (push the centre button & pull away from ball mounting), Nexted removed the single screw, Remove all parts shown in photo below (they all slide off the gearshift)
Image

These parts in photo are no longer required
Image

Do not forget to re-tighten the screw !
Image

Reconnect the upper gear control cable, Now should like this
Image

Finally replace upper cover before screwing the replacement gear knob on - job done
Image

Yes you can see the colour difference between the new upper gearshift cover & the trim between the seats, this was the original colour of my dash. door cards etc. The new upper cover is the same colour of my mk2 dash & door cards & also same colour of my leather seats :D :D

This is what my van interior used to look like
Image

I will be replacing the gear knob with one from a fiesta or focus (a leather one with silver / aluminium insert). Will be replacing the centre trim between the seats with one from mk2 connect also

This what is looks like now with connect mk2 2008 dash, door cards etc fitted :D :D
The leather passenger seat is not fitted yet just waiting for parts to arrive (see my other thread reguarding seat fitting)

Yes it would be easier,

BUt this van is alot cheaper than price for a mk2 connect. I did not plan on changing the dash, but when I got the elec windows & mirror kit is came with everything. It did not look right with a multi- coloured interior !

It's a project 8) 8)

& I have done quite a few other vans in the past.

For example this 1997 Merc Vito 108D, which I customised & fitted turbo to it ! sold few months ago for £3000

used the dvla site to look up the MOT history as my van only came with the most recent certificate, no service history either, drives well though.
also ordered new wiper blades, went for aero blades. and currently tring to buy a set of wiper arms as one of mine has fell apart.

Fiited a de-cat pipe and a stainless exhaust system.
De-cat i got from Mylee and exhaust from Kent Disco.
Exhaust needed some modifications to make it fit as was too short and now knocks but that will be fesolved on Monday once up on a ramp. Sounds sweet though.
