by the end of your project, how much of your van will remain the same as when it was shipped out of turkey...
and.. how much do you reckon you will have Saved, over just buying an "09" model TC?

Not alot is original for a 9 year old connect apart from the shell everthing else has been replaced at some point.

With the cost of van & parts for conversion, estimated cost to date is around £2000

Alot cheaper than a good used low mileage 2009 onwards basic model

:o ... I was expecting a much higher number. especially considering that your van doesn't look like a garage contract job, especially amazing since you've basically done it all yourself, and its almost totally indistinguishable from a production "09" model

:D 8)

The only thing I didn't do was the paint work (front bumper painted & bonnet repainted) As they were done at my brothers workplace

I have yet to get the rear bumber painted up, So I now have the joy of removing it
Hopefully it should be fairly easy, it looks relatively new with no corrosion on it.

well I have 2x spare nuts if you want them... like I said in the other thread I bought 4x anticipating problems... but if you can use them, your welcome to them FoC
I was genuinely shocked at the amount of rust/corrosion on the inside and top edge of my old bumper... so id say your best to plan for the worst

After searching everywhere for new clips for the forward section of centre floor console.

In the end, I got them from Ford at a cost of £3.50 each

Ford part No F4493651

These are used to clip lower sides of console to the mounting brackets

ah, but are they the same thing...

cos when I compared the star clip/cirle with teeth clips thingy I bought for my bumper corner caps... and the ones holding on the rear wheel arch, they looked identical

Yes I also have a 2012 RCM (Airbag module) fitted, unplugged as I am still working on wiring. I don't want to accidently deploy the airbags

New clips fitted to sides of centre floor console forward section.

just out of interest... have you spoken to your insurer yet?
I mean, it is one major facelift.. and you know what insurers are like...they will use any excuse to avoid paying out...

No not yet, as its still off the road (tax & mot expired).

I may end up re-registering it with DVLA, as it's radically altered
will have to check with DLVA on that one.

But it will keep its original reg no

Possibly abit eccentric
Probably gone overboard on this project. But then, do like a good challenge

Currently deciding on what to do with engine ?
Thinking of changing it for the 1.8 TDCI 125ps engine (QYBA) from a Mondeo mk4 along with the 6sp gearbox 8)

Which should return better MPG & no need to worry on power to weight ratio.
Mondeo mk4's gross weight is heavier than my T200 connect
