cambelt mileage change

Well mine has done 44k and its 6 years old for peace of mind for what the price is to do the cambelt i have just got it changed today. There was a chirping sound from cold start up which also made me do it, a dry tensioner is never good!

thanks taz you have put my mind at rest for a min! will get it done by 100,000 anyway as i wont need to do i twice! i also get a shudder when i pull away or reverse some times! some say drive shafts/dual mass flywheel? any ideas on that? cheers

depends what engine and what year as some connects have solid flywheels, my 09 110 tdci has a solid one

mines a 54 plate 1.8tdi 75ps i think (not the 1.8tdci)

the proper book time on etis is 2.3 hrs but they only take me about an hour coz i cheat

getting mine done next wednesday... along with rear discs conversion, lowering... going to be an expensive day

Mines in the garage next wednesday to. But due to an oil leak in the turbo area

Hi there . I have a transit connect 2006 . Over the last two weeks . After driving around and coming out of the shop I put my key in the ignition turn it and only the lights come on , it don't turn over . After about half hour turn key again and it starts . This has happened twice in two weeks . Any ideas what the problem could be ? . Thanks .
