small rust patch on roof on connect :(

hello,

the paint was bubbling in one small area it has now come off, and is at first stage of rust, how can i treat it,

i was thinking some rust gel and then spraying it up diamond white, would i need to primer first,

i am not the best at paint, but the roof isnt so important but i do wana stop the rust quickly

Sand down rust treat 3 coats primer then top coat

I had a couple of small rust patches by the roof rack mounting points. I bought a "kurust" pen from Halfords and followed the instructions. Basically it scraps it off then you use a primer of some sort. Once that's dry you can paint it. It worked well and the rust hasn't spread. Only tool about an hour or so.
