SWB Connect as Dayvan/Camper?

Postby mullers » Thu May 10, 2012 10:18 pm

Howdy all,

Am a noobie on here and am considering getting a SWB Connect for our business and am also thinking about using it as an overnighter at some events we go to. Am just wondering if anyone has put a dayvan/camper interior in the rear of their SWB van. I've searched on here and seen a couple of LWB but no SWB. Anyone tried it?

Ta,

I have a lwb - you will probably find the pictures on here somewhere.
A friend of mine did a SWB, he did a similar lay out to mine but with an extending flap..he had to slide the front seats right forwards then lean forwards to get enough bed length.

Thanks Matt,

I've seen the pics of your van and a nice job it is too :)

I know the SWB option would be a bit moe compact and perhaps it'd be a bit of a squeeze...might be better to go the LWB route as you have.

I have a SWB and i slept in it for 2 nights but it is a bit small, I'm 6'2 and I couldn't lay flat in it even from corner to corner. I have a bulk head in which does make the load area and bit smaller but even with out that I don't think would be able to lay strait, so it would be no good for any more then one person.

I think that confirms it Mike, lwb seems the way to go. :)

Hi Guys
Not been on the forum for a while since selling my transit but I was thinking the same thing about a SWB.
And may look at getting one as I miss my Van

Am I right in thinking the front passenger seat folds flat?

Could you make a raised bed that goes over the top of this?
