How do you remove the stereo in a 58 plate or newer ? Its no the older style stereo with the holes for the pins visible.

you have to remove the top dash facia panel, it should prize out but be careful, then there are screws holding the radio facia panel on remove this and the stereo is screwed into the dash, what are you trying to do?????

mines a 56 reg and the ford stereo was stuck, removal pins wouldnt budge it so i ripped it out with a pair of water pump pliers through the tape slot. not the best way but it got the job done!

Sony head unit, vibe slick 6x9 and ripspeed rs132 in front.

Should have added that it didn't work and was being skipped....
Replaced with Sony so alls good :roll:

I just wanted to know so when i go to steal one i wont have to use a crowbar on the boys dash again, oh what a mess that made, i felt kinda gulity :( ,
Haha, im only kidding. Need to remove it so i can wire up my parrot handsfree kit in to the loom behind the stereo.

And taz do you mean prize out the bit where the heaters sit? or lower, like just the surround of the stereo (the black bit not the grey bit thats attached to the face of the stereo)?

hello,did your sony head unit sound ok with the standard speaker's ,or did you update them aswell,cheers gaz.
