rear door lock

i have a ex national grid lwb connect ,the front and side doors are on the same key but the rear is a new lock fitted by the dealer i bought it off,this lock works fine but when you shut it it locks every time ,so you have to use the key to unlock it every time,how do i over come this ?

You may have this sorted by now as its been a long time, I have had to replace the hole locking + handle system on the rear doors of my Connect, there are several different types of lock\ latch, sound to me that you have a slamlock fitted, they use these sort of systems on courier \ delivery vans (not Ford Courier) so the rear door is always locked when its closed

thanks for that mate,and no it's not sorted out yet,so if i have got slam locks fitted can they not be deactivated ?,or am i stuck with them

Sorry to say, your stuck with em, can't be de-ativated

Please note :- you have to remove key barrel first ! before removing lock assembly
