Got to change someones Transit Connect bearing at the weekend

Fornt N/S bearing has alot of play and noise - the ABS light has come on - can this be due to the bearing failing and possibly distorted the sensor on that wheel?

Its not distorted the sensor as thats tucked away in the hub casting,Almost without a doubt the cause of the A.B.S. light on is because the bearing is shot and the part of the bearing that is read by the sensor is no longer there.
I have just replaced N/S front wheel bearing on my connect and the A.B.S. light was on,after fitting a new bearing the light goes out no problem.
Unless of course the wiring to the sensor is damaged /broken?
Finally when replacing the bearing dont buy the cheapo ones of E-Bay for £10/12 they are chinese imports and will last five minutes buy a decent named bearing ,S.K.F /Timken etc etc

yeh cheers man same happened on my customers van - bearing was F****D
