Eyup

Have been looking at getting one of these :

Have found one on the bay in chrome , here ....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CHROME-BOOT-S ... 3a77fb385e

but its for a tailgate model , not the split door . Do any of you know if this will still fit , or know anyone that may be selling one in chrome please

cheers

that chrome one on e-bay is just a stick on cover. Just go to ford and buy one as i dont think it will be that expensive.

2 different firms list these, both are listed for the tailgate, both firms do not list it for the single rear door, so it wont be the same.
If you are an adept person, I am sure you could drill some holes to fit it.
The proper black one for the single door from fords is getting on for £40

Ok, so I went to local ford dealership today , just to make some inquiries about the part number , cost , chrome version etc... unfortunately the guy behind the counter wasn't the brightest diamond in the jewelers and didn't really seem to know much or care a great deal either.

He couldn't find the part I am looking for on the ford parts list , and basically said.. can't find it .. therefore I cant help... Great Cheers mate !!

So do any of you members know if a Chrome / Stainless version of this part actually exists .. or if not another member or yourself that is possibly selling one, so that I can get it painted body colour.

Thanks in advance

dont think fords do a chrome trim.
as above the ones on ebay are stick on covers that stick to your black plastic number plate trim, unless you have a mk2 connect.

if you have a 2006 on mk2 or mk3 you will need to buy a standard black plastic trim and a chrome cover.will all so need to drill 4 holes in the door.will also need to check out about the number plate lights as are different and may not come with plastic trim.

When i measured, the single rear door one was an inch or two longer and therefore doesnt fit on the split door where it should.
Im in the market for one too, but plain not chrome

Well it appears thank's to the above comments that a chrome one was not a ford option , so that leaves me in the market for a plain black one also ... any sellers ??
