Hi,
I have a 2006 connect 1.8 turbo diesel van and yesterday while driving on the motorway I lost power. When I pressed the throttle, there was nothing but the engine did not cut out, it went back to standing still rpm. When I pulled in, I turned off the engine and started it again and then it was fine. This happened three times during the day. Any feedback would be appreciated!

Most likely needs a new pedal, but get the fault codes read first

Cheers, was thinking that myself until someone said to me that it was the diesel pump. But if it turned out to be the pump, wouldn,t the engine cut out altogether?

Just back from my local ford garage and phew it's not the pump, it's the throttle pedal alright! :
