Water pump leaking?

Hi guys,

I've been losing coolant now at a steady pace for a few weeks. I've not noticed any drips on the driveway other than my usual oil one until today. I've got two patches and one is coolant. Where is te water pump located on the 1.8tdci 90ps engine (2004)? Does it run off the cambelt or the chain for the fuel pump?
Also I have no mixing of oil and coolant within the engine (no water in oil or resovoir) so I'm guessing that does mean its water pump?

it may not be the water pump,could be a number of things like:-

hole in rad
split water hose
cracked resovoir bottle
leaking cap
jubilee clip needs do up/ replacing
themostat housing leaking

just to name a few

The pump runs of the aux belt

I've checked the bottle, the cap, the rad and all hoses I can see. The coolant look likes it's travelling down the cambelt cover and dripping off the bottom.

If its on the cambelt I assume I have to have that replaced aswell even though it was done 10k miles ago?

No it's not on the cambelt but off the front aux belt ,losen the water pump pulley bolts a little drop the belt off fully undo pulley bolts then undo waterpump bolts

So it's a pretty straight forward job and doesn't involve a load of work by the sounds of it. Hopefully my mechanic mate will be able to change it on my drive rather than a garage job. Thank f**k for that, I was expecting a big bill considering its a pump.

You've go to undo and take the engine mount off as well as the timing cover but the timing belt it's self don't need touching
