battery light - dials

today as i was driving along my battery light sarted flashing on and off does this 5-8 times then the dials make a little buzzing noise all cut off then come back on will do this for for 6-9 times ish then the batery light stays on during this the van still drives ok,when i stopped i turned it off then turned it on and it starts fine but then does the same all over again, any ideas please
