which front discs /pads

Postby Capovan » Wed Sep 05, 2012 8:50 pm

Evening all :D
Anyone used Pagid or Mintex front discs / pads and did they improve the bite.
Don't know whats on mine but van struggles to stop( must be cheap rubbish).
Drums on rear with new shoes in,would like to have discs on rear but can't be arsed with hassle of changing axle etc
thanks

Pagid are very good brakes.
You don't have to change the axle mate to put disc brakes on.
Speak to Paul aka Valetech (modyourtransit) and he can sort you out rear disc brake conversion.
For instance here are the uprated rear discs you can get.

Also the fronts as well.

Send him a Private Message and he will explain all.
Tell him Diesel sent you over.

I've got mintex pads and discs on my connect (just basic pads) and they were better than the ones on there before. I don't know what brand they were before mind you but there was a slight improvement. The next set of pads I'm going to get are focus ST170 mintex M1144 compound pads.

The focus ST170 pads will fit the connect as they are the same caliper ;)

Ive got grooved discs, braided hoses and ebc redstuff pads for the front and rear of my van. but not got round to fitting them yet, but im hoping the combination will be a huge improvement.

The discs and braided hoses came from modyourtransit.com and the redstuff pads from ebay.
