Changing the sump gasket

Postby Top_cat » Fri Sep 07, 2012 11:41 pm

Has anyone changed their sump gasket? Mine is progressively getting worse and my drive looks a disgrace- its not the bottom part of the sump unfortunately, it's the top part- is it a slag of a job? Does anyone know of a rough price of how much a mechanic would charge?

Dont think there is an actual gasket you make it with a sealer. Useless comment if you already know this!

I heard that the sump pans are very thin quality, so a new sump pan should be in order.
