not my connect but need help

Postby Connect-rick » Wed Oct 10, 2012 6:43 pm

hey guys, this is a weird one.
my mrs has got a 08 corsa 1.2 and last couple of weeks when ive driven it ive noticed a smell.
i passed it off as possibly the car in front! i only drive it once a week if that so took little notice until i popped the bonnet......

on inspection i thought no way is that a split, its too clean. the car cant have that much pressure with its 80bhp 1.2 powerhouse!!!

can anyone shed some light on what that pipe is caled so i can order a new one?
also any theories as to why this has happened.

It's the crankcase breather hose, it vents any crankcase pressure back into the inlet manifold, it splits due to oil contamination
Please don't send me PM's, i can't access them, when I try I get this:

It's just a breather pipe I've changed loads on corsa's just put a new pipe on and don't worry about it, you could take the pipe off every now and then to clean it out.
