single key problems

hello,i've just been into my local timpsons to ask about having a key cut for my side door,the guy say's to me 'do you need a spare for your ignition?,pardon mate you carn't do them here can you ?,yes mate £30 to £40 depending on what chip your key has in it,but i only have one key,can you still do it,his reply was yes,bearing in mind fords want about £ 120,i'm over the moon ,so tomorrow i'll drop my key off with him,any one else on here been to timpsons ??

I got a new 3 button remote key cut and programed for 35 quid

just a quick update on the key from timpsons,picked it up today and it worked a treat,plus he only charged me £25

I got two done today should have been £50.00 for the two, he's charging me £40.00 for the pair, got one done and he programmed the chip but when I got to the van to try it, the key works in the locks and ignition fine but the Imobiliser light flashes it's arse off and won't start, I am going to see him again this Friday and get him to reprogramme the chip and all will be good
