What make drive shaft is the best to buy?

I have had the drivers side drive shaft replaced due to vibration, now the garage that did it replaced it with a cheap one i think, most probably a q drive from euro car parts.

Now 3 months down the line it has gone again, the side in question is the drivers side. Now i am going to replace it myself but want to get a good quality one but without paying the dealer prices £££.

Any recommendations for the best place and one to get i need it asap?

I would take it back to the garage & get them to replace it for free, as it should have a warranty on the part & should have lasted alot longer than 3 months even for a cheap one.

Did the garage replace the complete assembly of part of it ? (O/S drive shaft is in 2 parts)

I know the Genuine Ford drive shafts are supplied by Motorcraft (Technically Motorcraft is part of Ford but they also sell parts for Mazda)

Have you tried ford?
I got one a couple of years ago for a very reasonable price, around £85 I think.

It's a long story why it's not going back to the garage, but it won't be going back to them.

I have tried fords £300 plus, so is this what people are paying or what alternative is good quality and worth buying?

The garage did replace the complete assembly.

dont be fouled by the really cheap prices seem to be good drive shafts.
i replaced my nearside shaft last week and about the replace the longer off side one next week.

I've used JR Components as well.
As VT says cheap, but good parts.
I had vibration on the drivers side. Thought it was the gearbox, but it was the bearing on the driveshaft that was worn.
Best 30 quid I ever spent. Then I did the other side as it was cheaper. What's the point in changing gaitors anymore? Just buy a complete new shaft.

Same here got my N/S drive shaft from JR & with 2 year warranty
