Anyone fitted these handbrake and gear gaitors?

Postby Adam_84 » Tue Dec 25, 2012 12:23 am

As title says, found this on eBay:

TRANSIT CONNECT LEATHER GEAR &HANDBRAKE WHITE STITCH

http://bit.ly/VZwXqR

Wondered if anybody had fitted new gaitors and how easy it was to re-use the old plastic frames.

Cheers Adam

Quality of leather is better than the OE from Fords. Fitting is a little fiddley as the original is moulded to the cover. Use either a soldering iron to remove the same to re-mould to fix or just cut the tops off with a stanley knife and superglue the replacement to fix.

Heres a pic taken after fitting

And this is another after fitting the matching seat covers

Both seats are full size and ordered covers to fit. Sent them a design I'd found on-line so stitching matched. Covers are good quality and cost £175.00 from here:http://www.jcseatcovers.co.uk/ Need to remove both seats (4 bolts) and spit which is only another 4 bolts for fitting.
