Can anyone tell me how to change an Alternator on a 53 plate connect. Thanks

Have you checked the alternator wiring harness? It's the wiring with a triangle plug that goes from the alternator along behind the radiator and towards the battery. It's £20 from fords and does sort the majority of problems relating to the battery and alternator.
