75ps vs 90ps............

Postby Lmalone » Wed Jan 09, 2013 10:44 pm

Well I have been on about my van and thought it was quick for a 75ps tddi lwb....

So on a private road  me and my mate had a play my van is a 2005 75ps tddi t220 lwb and his is a 2003 90ps tdci t230 lwb....

So we set off and side by side in 1st and 2nd then when I got in 3rd gear I started to pull away by the time I hit 5 gear I was a good 5 car lengths in front....

So he is now adamant my van ain't a 75ps or had an engine swop how can I find this out?

And I will repeat THIS WAS DONE ON A PRIVATE ROAD.....

i meant that are the gear box ratios the same in a connect.

but could be weight difference,

lots of things can make a difference apart from engine power

Do the "test" again but swap vans. You might be a better racer lol

Empty both vans and fill the tanks up. Pump te tyres to te same pressure and do the test again. Then swap vans (as mentioned). See if your one is still quicker.
