52reg will not start

Hi all any chance any one could help out with info as to why my @&£?ing van is not working !

Right it started fine other day stopped somewhere on why home and battery was dead . Jumped started it with leads (took some doing)
Got back home and left it running for 30 mins .
Next morning dead again ! Push started it and drove for 45 mins with lights and heater etc on left it at work and it did the same again . So push stared it again home etc .
Same again dead not even turning over ?I
Checked battery and have 12. 30 ish volts so that seems ok so must be charging !
Some must be charging or would of died on me at some point when bat ran out !
Does it sound like starter prob or wiring somewhere ??????
Any help would be a help .

Did you carry out a discharge test on the battery or just check via a voltmeter? I would suspect battery/possible starter fault,but for sure you need to check alternator output & battery condition when engine is running before diagnosis is confirmed,given that connects do suffer from the smart charge wiring,this maybe the first place to start

Thanks for above info guys but none of them seem to match my problem ,
Have checked alt and is charging fine / battery is full of beens
Only way it will run is bump start ! Will not start from jump Leeds as there is no turning over or noise from it ,,,
All lights are on fine on the dash and runs fine with all dash lights as normal .

Going to take starter of and test it on bench today and check all earth points etc

Has any one got one for sale as don't want to pay dealers price !!

I am in derby area also has any one had there tddi 75 ecu modded by van tunner as would like to see how much a difference it makes from my std steady / slow / underpowered you choose

mate had the same issue as you, just take starter off .take it apart tap it gently get all carbon out,re greese dog/shaft ,refit happy days. the starter carbon is earthing out internaly

Done that Madasahatter But still no joy !
Starter was full of it and also sounds gritty + solanoid was sticking also both now work ok ish but does not sound good !

So will have to dig deep in pocket for new one .
