Had a fair few problems recently with my connect, mostly sorted now.
Ended up with a new fuel pump and a focus 90PS ECU.
Once back on the road power was down and on motorways i would be changing down the gears and struggling to maintain 50mph. I called to see MartynX for him to have a look with IDS to see if there was any ECU setting issues. He quickily found a low MAP sensor voltage under acceleration and then a leak in the pipe to the MAP sensor, which he did a temporary repair on, this made van much better and no problem maintaining speed.
MartynX advised i replace the MAP pipe, MAP sensor and boost hoses. Been very busy since but managed to buy a f super scanner thingymajig......
Works great and the MAP voltage is down at 3.5v maximum when accelerating. Today i've done a good repair on the MAP pipe and it feels as though the power comes through better and smoother, need tomorrow to know for definate. Ordered a new MAP sensor and both air temperature sensors, these should be available for me to fit tomorrow afternoon.
My question....
I've been looking at recordings on youtube and even with heavy acceleration i've not seen a MAP voltage reading much above 3v on the couple of tddi videos that are present.
Has anyone on here got info on their tddi map sensor voltage readings? I've a feeling that it will still be well below 5v once the sensors are changed. The turbo has done 260,000 miles so i've got my doubts it'll be working 100%
MartynX thinks i will be happy with the power once i get the boost sorted, as with the 90ps focus ecu it will already be the same power as my remaped 75ps ECU. If i'm not happy he can remap the new ECU up to 110ps!!! It would be criminal not to go up to 110ps now that its capable of it!
TOP BLOKE THAT MARTYNX
Any thoughts appreciated
