I have a similar problem but it only started after I got it remapped de catted and the egr blanked. I took it back and the boy retweeked the map but its actually worse now. That was a few months ago not had time to get it back upto him.

Even less for its big brother. Ford have no spirit in their vans, but that's what makes it a challenge, don't buy it, make it.

Sprry for thread revival but ive got 2.2 tdci 85ps transit 2010 on 84k.
Had this problem very briefly, been to vamtuner for remap etc and its a bit worse sometimes, egr is switched to stay shut.
Do i need to connect both pipes above the egr still?

I have the same issue with my van, has been this way for about 12 months. Happened after a fullservice (oil amd all filters) at a reputable garage.

I swapped fuel filter for another new gen ford one incase this has caused he problem, it didn't. Like liteace Ive learnt to drive round it. Does annoy you though.

Mine is 110psi swb on a 57 with 100k on clock[/quote]

Hi I have the same fault on my van.. it was fine and developed The issue about 10 miles after receiving a full Major service from a Halfords Auto centre. Can I ask which garage you got your service at and did you get it sorted in the end.
Thanks David

I've had Ford Connects for the last 10 years and in my experience these problems are normally EGR related

just registered to say thanks!

the EGR blanking plate sorted it for me too. (2012 connect t230 110)

I found this thread after searching around the issue - mine was hesitant between 2.2-2.8k rpm but not consistently, it felt like it was trying to "do something" within that range but failing. flaky EGR would fit that profile and whilst I suspect a new EGR valve would also have sorted it, a blanking plate is £2.50 and EGR is dumb anyway so, no.

I was concerned it might throw a code after fitting the plate but also not.

Just got back from a 2hr drive and she purrs beautifully now right through the range.

cheers :)
