Mist washer jets

Postby gt_addict » Tue Jun 25, 2013 7:57 am

Hi guys,

I bought a set of mist washer jets (genuine ford ones) from eBay and fitted them to my connect. My only problem is that they seem to fire at the windscreen a bit low down. Did ford make different mist washers at different angles? Or do another manufacturers mist jets fit fords?

Cheers,

Peter.

Unfortunately these have no adjustment on them. They are the mist type ones NOT the jet ones that have two streams of water on each nozzle.

They mist just above the wipers but I'd like it a bit further up to be honest. Anyone have any suggestions?

Depending how tight they fit in can you not get something that's wedge shaped to push underneath it to raise the front a tad without leaving any gaps. Some pictures would help especially as I'd like to fit some too :-)

They are fitted to the new various new ford models from 2012 as far as I know.

eBay number for a heated pair ( I went for non-heated )

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170785425276

Ill see it I can get a small 1mm packer from work and wedge it under there. They still hit the screen but just not as high as I'd like :/

Are you sure they don't adjust a bit?
The ones on my Civic can be adjusted by a small amount. The whole nozzle bit moves in the housing using a small screwdriver in a slot. Can't believe that Ford can build a car so accurately that the jets squirt right every time

Thanks wisiiri.

Ill give it a go with a screwdriver later after work, but as the thread wisiiri posted up they aren't adjustable, apparently.

Dot of glue ill try as well.
