If you have 2 original keys, you can program a third (providing the blank remote fob key has the correct chip in it)

If have a pot full of these immobiliser chips spare

I took my 2013 key apart today to compare with the ebay item and I dont think it will be ok for mine because the buttons seem to be in the wrong place.

I dont think it will work as the Ebay key is only to replace the separate fob and non remote key, I would think the 2013 key is different more like the Focus, Fiesta 3 button key and it would also have a different immo

Is there a guide for using the mondeo key fob as looks the nicest in my opinion. I only have one key with the immobiliser chip so would like to use that as a spare and get that new mondeo key for everyday, looks much nicer.

Key new key cut, (it will be programmed by locksmith for immobilser) either carefully remove the chip from new or old key

On the Mondeo flip key, Separate the remote fob from keyblade casing, open up the case (part were key blade is fitted too)
& fit immobiliser chip into it

Do the new keys come with the immobiliser chip inside them?

by the look of that case in the ebay link it would possibly fit the new connect transponder chip. 2007 onwards use id63 carbon transponders & not the older id60 glass type

When programming remote fob, program both at the same time. Then both will work
(You can program upto a maximum of 4 remote fobs)
