Front brake upgrade

Postby NC53 » Sun Feb 05, 2017 10:43 pm

I'm thinking about bigger front brakes on my 2007 connect.

What would be a good upgrade which will clear 16 inch alloys?

I assume mk3 Mondeo discs/pads/calipers/carriers would work.

Be interested to see what others have done. Thanks.

I've got Mondeo brakes on mine but you have to machine the caliper to get the spacing right

What's involved in machining the caliper?

My mate fitted the mondeo set up to his Fiesta and had to grind the calioer slightly to clear the wheels. Is that what you mean?

Make sure it's the 300mm ones , the carriers have 300 cast in them
