Wheel Arch Trim Problems....

Afternoon All, I have had all the arches and bumpers sprayed the same colour as the van. I am now trying to put everything back together but the front arch clips are being ridiculously hard to pop in. I purchased all new clips all round off eBay, the rears where no problem at all. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Ross
