2011 connect 1.8tdci vibration

Postby Scottyboy75 » Wed Mar 14, 2018 10:05 pm

I’m getting a vibration on idle which gets worse peaking at about 2500rpm, doesn’t change with clutch? Any ideas? Sounds like the engine is on the dashboard

Going in tomorrow, glow plug fault is causing dpf to clog. Fingers crossed that’s the prob although he did mention possible flywheel issue.

Mine has been doing the same since I've had it (4 years) only wobbles when stationary, in neutral, and increasing throttle slowly. At around 1500 and 2k revs it's starts the wobble, and when cold it produces blue smoke too. I have always thought it's misfiring... All glow plugs have been replaced - which were not working, and still the same problem. Does not use any oil, so seals and anything related to burning engine oil must be false... Gonna book it in with a diesel specialist and get a diagnosis. It has been suffering very rough running when cold since i have had it too. Smokes loads on start up and does not tick over smooth at all. Does start on the button every time though!..... ? Good luck pal, and let us know.

Ok no smoking or nothing, went in for eml light and was the fuel vapor valve, slight improvement on vibration but going back in this week for a proper look as they were very busy, will keep you posted
