Connect TDCI And focus TDCI ecu And injectors

Postby Oldschoolfordpaul » Mon Jun 18, 2018 9:19 pm

Hi folks I have a 2003 connect TDCI 90ps that I bought with knackered injectors ,I have a 2002 focus TDCI 115 ps GHIA.that has the rots but mechanically good so I have put the focus injectors in the connect and coded them with snap on solus ,all good and am using the van daily.i have noticed that when ticking over it smells fumi like unburnt fuel from the exhaust and was wondering if it could be over fueling ?

My question is could I take the ecu and key chip and the fuel pump edu from the focus and fit it to my connect van and if I did would it make the van a 115 ps as that’s what the focus is ?

Thanks in advance.
Paul.

No it wouldn't, the focus has a MAF, the Connect doesn't, the focus has a VVT turbo, the Connect doesn't, the Connect has a EGR
position sensor, the Focus doesn't + there are a couple of other differences

Fuel pump edu ?

Hi thanks for the info I didn't realize there was so much different between the two. When in said fuel pump edu I meant the little electronic bit bolted to the top of the pump .Regards Paul.

If the Focus and the Connect are both TDCI's there is no little electronic bit bolted to the top of the pump, that was only on the TDDI thats fitted with the Bosch VP29/30 pump
