Connect was never designed as a builders van, you need a big boy for that purpose, 8x4 sheets etc :?

I think you can get one sheet in with the standard bulkhead, or ive seen people stack them on a roof rack  the 240 takes around 850kg so work that out with the cement etc

If he knew how to use Ford's website he'd be able to see that it can carry more than 1 8x4 board.

I know loads of masons that use the high-roof connect, and plumbers, and plasterers, and sparkies. My mate uses his for filling up with fish in the crates. If I remember, Ford's brochure for the earlier connect paid great merit to the fact that the front seat could be folded and 8x4 sheets could be slid in diagonally. Also that it could be filled up with full pallets. I was taking the piss anyway at the superficial reasons you purchase a van, like women discussing nail-polish. I certainly bought my connect as a work van, that's what vans are for in my world. The newer ones aren't even vans anymore, they are too small and not much different to a car. Ford seem to be targeting ego rather then practicality.

Like any vehicle, it all depends on how it’s looked after. I don’t treat my van any different to my car, so the fact that it’s used as a commercial vehicle makes zero difference to it.

Or a 1.6ecoboost, but as V says, the 1.5 turbo is very good. I wonder if it'll suffer from the addition of adblue in the new van?
Same engine in the new Focus doesn't need it so should be ok 8)
I know, my current Connect doesn’t have adblue either, they must have added it to get the emissions even lower?
Saw one today & yes it needs adblue :(
