Cambelt cover removal..

Postby Yellow peril » Mon Sep 24, 2018 9:14 am

Not sure if I'm missing something but wanted to remove the plastic cambelt cover to look at the source of an oil leak (2012 - 110). Have removed the four fixings but can't seem to get it off, does the engine mount have to be removed to get it off..? Thanks

I believe it does (shocking memory)
Easy to remove but be careful if supporting on the sump pan. It's only a bit of pressed tin and if you dent where the pick up sits that can restrict your oil supply, or so I've read.

Thank you, yes I was bit concerned about that.. May look at supporting with a strap from the top with block and tackle..
