Changing PCV 1.8 Petrol Transit Connect

Postby Connect1969 » Mon Sep 24, 2018 9:04 pm

Hi , I want to change the PCV on my connect to see if it helps with fuel efficiency and general better running

I have bought a genuine ford PCV valve and also the crankshaft breather pipe as it looks original so 14 years old and looks a little cracked in places

I took a look and was able to remove the old breather pipe easily but I'm not sure how the PCV is removed ?
I am trying to do this job from the engine bay as I don't have ramps etc, Is this possible or does it need any parts removing to change the PCV that requires a ramp to get underneath ?

Thanks for any advice

I have now changed the crankshaft breather pipe as I could do this from the engine bay, does anyone know where the PCV valve is ?
I have tried to find out by the Internet but can't find my engine

Does anyone have any ideas ?

Thanks

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with the 1.8 petrol engine, (I've only had dealings with the 1.6 zetec) but isn't the PCV located in the top valve cover :?:
