Heater

Postby Ray Austin » Wed Nov 14, 2018 1:44 pm

I know someone who has a ford connect diesel 09 plate the heater does not work. He had a coolant leak which a garage fixed but since then the heater has not worked. He thought it was the matrix so had that replaced but still no heat he says the coolant hose are cold so no flow though the heater. I have not looked at it have not got the time but what could be the issue.

Other possibilities I've experienced in connects have been

Air lock

Thermostat problem

Water pump failure

Can he hear any movement behind the heater control dial (the cable operating the temperature control flap)

Obviously with previous jobs I've experienced this problem after coolant changes and it has always been an airlock... but that has obviously been ruled out ?
