I've got a bit of an issue with my connect.
I did an overhaul on the rear brakes
Replaced the following
Rear Pads
Rear Discs
Rear Handbrake Cable(s) the previous cable had seized on the NSR
Handbrake adjusted as per instructions(and feels pretty resistant after 4 clicks)
HOWEVER - the NSR tyre does not lock...at all - I have applied the handbrake by about 5-6 clicks(which is hard to do after the adjustment) the OSR locks nicely however the NSR doesn't lock at all
I can rotate the wheel with one hand
upon inspection I had my assistant apply the handbrake....the NSR cable moves a touch.....but no longer moves even though my assistant continues moving the handbrake up(the OSR cable continues to move as this happens)
I tried verifying if the calliper was at fault but it is not...I can apply the parking brake by prying the calliper mechanism and that locks the NSR wheel.
Has anybody experienced this before? only on one side? it kind of makes me wonder whether this is common....as my PREVIOUS NSR cable was seized possible to due lack of movement.....
both wheels used to lock id say just less than a year ago ... but overtime it became worse at holding on hills which was when I decided to freshen up the Rear braking system.
the cables are on the correct sides.... it seems as though the NSR cable is either too long for the van or is faulty(stretched)
apologies for the long post. I wanted to be a descriptive and as detailed as I could.
