Connect lots of smoke

Postby Scott2611 » Sun Dec 30, 2018 9:11 pm

Hi guys looking for some advice, I'm totally new to this game and nothing like a mechanic. Want a fence no problem but mechanic I am not.

So the story been I've bought a 55 plate 1.8 tddi. It's seen better days.

It's smoking like a fook. Black smoke. I have a mechanic round and he said it was the boost hose. Which had a hole in. He replaced it. Made no difference. He said I need a leak test on the injectors. So I got in touch with the previous owner as he said he had 2 new injectors. But they need coding. In which I told the mechanic. He said they are self coding. The engine has a rock to it and I can't get it to start without cold start. Yet it has new glow plugs.

Can anyone point me in right direction

welcome m8y, yep on yours its only the pump if changed needs coding, needs putting on a scanner for any fault codes, and a good $ with oem filters might help
