Central locking 2007 tdci 1.8

I've asked this before but no response. The drivers side door with the key fob at side of door keep pressing unlock it takes 6 to 7 times to unlock I've tried spraying wd40 around the electric switch in the door panels with no luck any one no mick.

does it make any noise when you press the unlock button, or nothing until it finally opens? is anything stopping the inside lock/unlock knob from rotating fully as this make the mechanism click, but it doesn't move far enough to unlock. Could just be a failing locking mechanism, the solenoids in them get weak after a while.
