2016 speed limiter

Hiya, I have just bought a 2016 1.5 diesel transit connect.
But I have found out it has a speed limiter fitted, emailed a company and they quoted £220 to remove it and do a stage 1 map. I'm not really after the map just the limiter removal. I believe it's a ford diagnostic jobby I have seen some software online and a diagnostic lead anybody know if it would allow me to remove the limiter? Or am I gunna have to pay through the nose and get ford to do it . Thanks in advance

It's done diagnostically you're right
Pretty sure on Euro 6's like yours you'll need an pro tool with an online connection , but I've only done 1 or 2 1.5 Connects so far & have forgotten already so i may be wrong & you may be lucky with other tools Ford will probably charge half to one hours labour , if the dealer you choose knows how ,
