Lack of power? Help required

Hi,

When I went to leave work today my ford transit connect would start but then stall straight away, it took several attempts before eventually starting but it has got a complete lack of power, I managed to drive it home at very low speed. It will rev very slowly but when I put my accelerator flat to the floor there is no response..

I mate said it may be a blocked diesel filter? Can anyone shed any light on this?

Changed the fuel filter this morning and van worked fine for about a mile then same problem. Lack of power even with pedal to the floor, What could it be?

2 days later and 3rd different garage, yesterday it was meant to be the mass air flow sensor which turned out not to be the problem, now on the 3rd day Iv been told it’s the turbo which needs replacing. £690 fitted??

I had similar on a 07 plate connect, the egr valve had stuck, took the motor off and turned th shaft with pliers until it freed off
