Poor Bluetooth volume... any tips??

Hi all,
Just wondered if my experience with poor incoming volume while on Bluetooth phone calls is normal, or I’m missing something?

When I call on Bluetooth, I can’t hear the other person well at all !
If I have the fan on at all, I can’t hear anything.
I have tried the obvious e.g turned the volume up to 30 on Steering wheel
and put the phone volume to max, but still feel like I might need hearing aids ... LOL

Any advice or tips ... would be much appreciated
