Parking assist problems 2016 model.

The parking assist system on my van is playing up slightly. It has the camera and sensors factory fitted. With just the ignition on all systems are working. Camera shows up on screen showing predicted path and the sensors recognize objects behind. Also can hear all sensors clicking with ear next to them. Reverse lights stay on aswell. When the engine is running the system is intermittent, camera doesnt appear till you start moving. Predicted path appears off and on. And the reverse lights flash off and on. I've tried cleaning all the sensors and they're connectors but made no difference. Wondering if it's just a dodgy wire somewhere or maybe something more. You guys have any idea. Thanks in advance.

Could it be a faulty reverse switch seeing as your reverse lights are flashing on & off when running, possible that the vibration from the engine / gearbox is exasperating the faulty switch.....
